Do celebrities wear fake watches?
What is it about a watch that causes a celebrity to compare themselves one up against the other?
It is an interesting and very human trait that the wearing of luxury brands of watches is something of which one considers or even causes one to judge one person against another. Is it the watch manufacturers marketing techniques that have caused this constant competition and comparisons? Or, is it that human nature will dictate that one person will always compare themselves against another and from that competition is born?
Many watch brands or rather their manufacturers and promotional marketing teams encourage this kind of rivalry and challenging behavior between people. After all, it is this type of behavior that will ensure people will always spend more and more often and keep the watch manufacturers and their watch makers in business and in jobs.
The real question is: Would a celebrity wear a fake or replica watch?
Has Cindy Crawford who has always promoted Omega or Lewis Hamilton who promotes Tag ever wear anything other than the brands that pay them to do so?
No-one probably really knows the answer to this question, but chances are they have worn a fake or replica at some stage in their lives. Perhaps a fake Mercier watch and what better fake could you wear than the fake Mercier watch?
